Ethics Commission - Behested Payments
Behested payments are made for legislative, governmental, or charitable purposes, not for personal or campaign use. They are not considered gifts to the official and must be reported to ensure transparency.
An 803 form must be filed if payments from a single source total $5,000 or more in a calendar year. Once this threshold is met, all subsequent payments of any amount from that source in the same year must also be reported.
